PDS > AI - I'm not getting the prompt to 'Convert layers to Objects'

Hey I just fixed up one of my patterns in photoshop and now I am trying to bring it back into AI. The image appears fine but I don't get the prompt (dialogue box) that allows me to keep editing in AI. This is a new issue, I've always had the prompt box appear before.  I have tried the place & unlink version to bring up the prompt but it's not happening. Can someone help me find the prompt box! Thanks
