hey Im new and wanted to your expertise on whether a stylist pen or blue tooth mouse would be better for a touch screen laptop when working with AI?  thank you-

That depends on what youare doing. For precise anchor point work I prefer a mouse, because when working directly on the screen witha stylus you will always hide a quarter of the work area with your hand.

Freely drawing with the pencil or brush tool works better with a stylus of course.
