Pen tool auto add/subtract anchor points gone

Updated AI to 26.0.1 and the pen tool no longer auto adds or subtracts anchor points on a path.
Any ideas on how to re-enable it?

Solved... disable snap to grid.
Using snap to grid kills auto add/subtract on the pen tool. Also plays havoc with the type tool.

It's a bug.

Moving the path away from other elements allows the point to be subtracted. As a workaround.
