Pen tool issue
This is a tutorial showing to use pen tool to sketch on image. Why certain part of the image disappear when using pen tool to trace it? This is not the case in tutorial only in my file. Video also attached

You've probably applied a white fill colour to the path.
If so, remove it and try again.
