where is the pencil tool - i have 2017 illustrate and it does not show on tools?

    Hi

    Press the "N" key to activate the Pencil Tool. I'm sending a screen shot to show you the location and some links to videos that walk you through the basics.

    There are hidden tools.

    The pencil tool is in one group with the Shaper tool. Click and hold it to show the hidden tools.
