So im starting to use illustrator again ( this time the new version of 2017 ) and whenever i start to create an anchor point and then make a simple line or a curve it will auoto continue for another path posibillity ( sorry if i describe it bad ). The only way to stop one step/path and leave it as it is (from one point to another one) is to press/switch to another tool after creating the second point. Is there a way to fix it? in the last version i used it didnt happened after one path it would stop untill you act ( 2015 version if im not mistaken ).

Correct answer Monika Gause

That's the rubber band. Turn it off in Preferences > Selection and Anchor display.

Are you perhaps talking about the rubber band preview?

Go to Preferences > Selection & Anchor Display and disable the Rubber Band for the Pen tool and/or Curvature tool.
