Photoshop Layers not opening in Illustrator (Yes, Import Hidden Layers is checked)

The layers are flattening to one layer, and always appearing with the layer name "Background + Group # Image". But everything is flattened and merged like the file was a jpg or png.

Can not get the layers to import as the original layers, as they are configured in PS.

If those layers on top have a blending mode other than normal that could of course cause this.

This usually happens when you use certain blend modes.

They are main layers?

Can you please show the layer structure?
