pick colour from clipping path?

When you an an object as clipping path in a group you can picks it´s colour. Is there a way to do that?

Press Shift as you click on the Clipping Path color with the Eyedropper Tool.

I did some testing and made a screen recording that I attached.

When I pick a colour from the clipping object and there is nothing else behind it pick from that object but if there is an object behind it will pick from that object behind.
The same with shift+ click.

Maybe you can not avoid this?

Ah, thank you for the clarification. When you press Shift + D twice, you are switching through the drawing modes. When the dotted lines appear, you are now in the Draw Inside mode. If you add a new object, yes, it will create a Clip Group with the new shape as a path that retains its stroke and fill. To access those colors, you can select that shape in the Layers panel (Window > Layers), open the Appearance panel (Window > Appearance), and access the fill and stroke colors.

Yes, the colours are in the appearence panel,
But you can pick the colours from that objects I guess. No shortcut or so?

If the color is visible, then you can use the Eyedropper Tool (I) to sample the color.

I'm not sure I understand the question, but in case this helps:

 

As Myra mentioned, when a Path becomes a Clipping Mask, it automatically loses any Stroke or Fill it might have had. You can still add Stroke and Fill colors to the clipping path by selecting it with the Direct Select tool (white arrow), then assigning Stroke weight/color and Fill color as desired.

 Thanks for all answer. Maybe that feature is not called clipping path. I mean when you select an objct press shift + D twice and you get this dotline around the object, in this case the arm and when you make a new object this object turns into a group with a clipping "path" but it still has it's colours visble.

You can sample color from the clipped object from an area that is revealed; however, if the original vector shape that was used to create the mask had a color applied, then you won't be able to select that color. Once you use it to mask other artwork, it becomes a path with no stroke or fill.
