Pieces missing of drawn elements on my artboards

I am having an issue in Adobe illustrator where sections of what is on the page are missing.  See the picture below - the blue line, it should be a solid line layered over the yellow line and it looks like sections and pieces are missing.  Is there something that can be done to get rid of this? This is happening all over the artboard.
