Pixelated gradient in Illustrator

Hi there,

I was provided a logo from a client and need to add it to some packaging designs. The logo has a gradient using blurred layers and a clipping path. It appears pixelated at full resolution (Left in attached image) but becomes very bad when scaled down (right in attached image).

Any idea what's going on?

It's created with one or more raster effects, which are affected by the Document Raster Effects PPI setting (under the Effect menu).

If you scale objects down, the PPI stays the same, so pixels get larger relative to the object's size.

Thanks for that! That sorted the issue.
