The Pen Tool in Adobe Illustrator is the equivalent of the Bezier Tool in CorelDRAW.

IMHO, Illustrator’s Pen Tool is easier to use. This is due to the combination of keyboard shortcuts associated with the Pen Tool and the keyboard shortcuts for smoothly zooming in/out and hand-panning the view of the work space. I can use keyboard shortcuts to modify anchor points on a path while I’m drawing it. I can adjust my view of the artwork while using the Pen tool since the zoom/hand-panning functions are easily toggled on/off via keyboard shortcuts. CorelDRAW allows this only to a limited degree; it’s Bezier tool doesn’t have the same functionality in terms of node/point editing shortcuts. And I have to use the scroll wheel on a mouse to zoom/pan the view. That function isn’t available if I’m using a Wacom Pen and tablet.

The arrangement of Illustrator’s keyboard shortcuts for the Pen Tool and zooming/panning the artwork view allows me to keep my left hand positioned on the keyboard and right hand holding the mouse or Wacom Pen. I’m not having to jump back and forth to a tool bar on screen as often as I would when using CorelDRAW.

Astute Graphics’ InkScribe tool is an interesting alternative to the stock Pen Tool, but that’s part of a Illustrator plugin suite.

CorelDRAW has a few features I wish had equivalents in Adobe Illustrator. The keyboard shortcuts for aligning/distributing objects are better than any other vector graphics app on the market. CorelDRAW can align/distribute text objects according to their baselines. That’s handy for certain tasks.

The B-Spline tool in CorelDRAW is pretty unique. Just like Ton Frederiks said a few days earlier, you could post a feature request for it at the Illustrator User Voice forum.

I’ve rarely ever used the B-Spline tool in CorelDRAW other than to just experiment drawing curvy paths with it. Astute Graphics’ Reform Tool has some slight similarities, but it works on existing paths rather than drawing new paths from scratch.

You can add feature requests here:

    https://illustrator.uservoice.com/

But do give a detailed description about the features of the tool you want.
