Please Help Me Remove / Delete Little Artboard Offspring Everywhere!

I copied and pasted an object and then duplicated it several times and put everything in their proper places.

Very nice, but now I can not get rid of the little off-spring artboards everywhere.

When I do manage to delete after multiple frustrating efforts of sorts , a thin line still exists.

PLEASE HELP!

I do not see the mini artboards everywhere. This is not the artboards panel, but the Artboard options and it says 3 artboards and they are not mini.
