PNG BITMAP

I'm having a problem with the PNG bitmap in Illustrator 26.3.1. In the previous version, the image background was automatically transparent after import. However, in version 26.3.1, the background is either solid or not transparent.

I'm hoping someone has a solution.

In 2021 they are seen as a Black& White Bitmap and in 2022 as Grayscale.

I can reproduce that, bitmap files saved as PNG are transparent in the 2021 version, but opaque in 2022.
