Can we get a fix on this. I used to be able to export PNG files with transparent backgrounds for clients and it was seemless on the color from the file. NOW the PNG exports are washed out and terrible, they look nothing like my file!  Someone help!

Ton, thank you for this thread, I've found my simplist solution is to just change file types from PNG to Webp. Sucks i gotta do it but it seems to fix my problem and still allow me to have a transparent background!

I don't know what you intend to use it for, but yes Webp has the option to inlude a profile, so that may be a good workaround.

Illustrator does not embed the color profile into the PNGs it exports. What happens when you open the PNG in Photoshop and then embed the color profile (do not convert to profile)

It always used to keep the png colors the same as the actual artboards in the file. I have no idea what to do or how to make it embed the color profile?

Open the PNG after exporting in Photoshop and then embed the color profile there. Must be the same as the one you used in Illustrator
