I am trying to follow the instructions as I have read in this group.  I am trying to delete some sections of a polar grid.  I am grouping the grid, then going to Pathfinder -> Divide.  Then, I am ungrouping.  But, when I select the area to delete, whole other section are grouped and delete instead of what I want to.
Help????

You probably need to ungroup more than once. With the polar grid selected, if you look under the Object menu. If Ungroup is grayed out, then everything is ungrouped. If it is not grayed out then ungroup again until it is grayed out. Once that happens, you should be able to select each segment individually.

You didn't mention if the grid has a fill color or stroke color. Pathfinder usually works best if there is a fill color.

    kae,

What happens if you extend the Radial Dividers a bit (you can scale them up by 1.05 (to 105%) or something, remember to have Scale Strokes & Effect unticked (you can see/do it in the Transform palette (flyout))) before Divide?

    Please show before and after.

Also: Always use the layers panel to inspect your artwork.

Also: Since polar grids are often not precise enough for the pathfinder, this might happen.
