Position numbers set to canvas not artboard

I rearranged my artboards using the tool in Illustrator and now all my x and y position numbers are set to the middle of the canvas and not the middle of the artboards. I've searched every setting and dialog box and can't find a way to fix this. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Kathy

You are probably using Global rulers.

You can change them to Artboard rulers to have each artboard it's own 0/0 point.

To change it use Ctrl click in the ruler or use View > Rulers > Change to...

Have you tried manually resetting the origin point on the active artboard (dragging a new origin point from the upper left corner of the rulers to the preferred corner of the artboard)? Normally when I have an Illustrator document containing multiple artboard the rulers change depending on which artboard is active.
