Question

Potential upgrades for smoother performance

I apologize in advance if this is not in the correct spot but I am needing some advice here. I recently got a Wacom drawing tablet to use with illustrator. I previously had a tiny Huoin tablet that I used for a bit.

When I use my tablet however it tends to crash the program, and often that would happen with my other tablet as well. I am working on a Dell desktop with 8gb of RAM and wondering if maybe I would have less issues if I added a graphic card or more memory. I've read that cards can enhance performance and was wondering if this would be a good investment.

It's so frustrating because it works just fine on my HP laptop that is a POC, and I've had it for almost 10 years.

Without any insights into actual crash info and system specs nobody can tell you much. The simple truth of the matter is that likely it has nothing to do with memory or your GPU, but rather is caused by a driver conflict. Check your device manager and event viewer.
