Presistant script folder

Hello there,

I have been collecting some scripts over the past years, but each time illustrator updates, I lose those scripts.
I do know where to retrieve them, but I was wondering if am missing somekind of a global folder?

Also I simply wish that adobe allowed to store scripts in the cloud so they simply move with future updates.

Thanks for your wisdom.

@Peter_Nitras  I would appreciate a persistent scripts folder, too. In my case, I use a utility (Hazel for MacOS) to sync my master scripts folders with the app specific scripts folders, but I do have to update the path when the app folder changes, eg. when Adobe Illustrator 2023 updates to Adobe Illustrator 2024.

Also, you may want to use script launchers like "Scripts Panel" or "Scripshon Trees".

After updating Illustrator you may have to choose the source folder (structure) again, but that's a quick procedure.

You have to make copies, in order to not lose important stuff.

You can try and Edit > My Settings > Export  after having set up everything, but that should happen before you update.

If you do not need your scripts in the menu, then you can actually keep them anywhere you want. And then run them via File > Scripts > Other script.
