Print preview not working in Illustrator

Hi. When I try to print anytghing in iIllustrator v25.0 the preview pane only shows a small amount of thge document page and the rest is just white. This makes positioning printouts of documents bigger than A4 impossible to print accurately. Anyone know of a solution to this? Thanks
