Printer will not print my pdf file

I want to print my pdf file on Adobe Illustrator with my HP Envy 1600 All in One printer but the print dialogue box will not accept composite as the mode

    ​@Kathy Aylott check whether your HP Envy 1600 All in One printer is using the full HP printer driver. Illustrator might hide some print options (like Composite) if the printer is using a basic or generic driver instead of the full HP one. Once the proper driver is installed, Illustrator should give you more print options.

    I did try looking on HP website for the ‘HP Envy Series 1600’ but nothing comes up. How old is this printer?

    Thank you for your reply. I will check tomorrow what  you have suggested I do. Hopefully that will solve the problem. My printer is just a year old. Thank you. Kathy
