Printing Boarder shrinking text/image

I have moved from an old AI to the new AI and I am finding that when I place any item/text on the page and then printing it is making the item/smaller to create the boarder that didnt happen in the old AI - Yes I know about the printer boarder however my printer will print boarderless but if I do print boarderless the image is gross it becomes blurry fatter - is there a way to get rid of the boarder ? This also happenes in the new ID and Acrobat.

Michelle,

 

It sounds as a needless downscaling in connexion with the actual printing, which ought to be prevented if you apply Do not scale/100%/whatever with the same meaning.

 

If you are printing directly from AI, are you using a PostScript (emulating) printer driver (if your printer has one)?

 

And what happens if you save (a copy) to PDF and then print from Acrobat?
