I need to print a sticker for large backdrop 6 metres x 2 metres.  I downloaded an image of sign about 6.5 M from Adobe Stock and edit it with Adobe Illustrator.  Is that the edited image will become a vector image, and that I can output it as a large printout, say 6 metres x 2 metres without distortion?

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

Whether or not that file is suitable for the print depends on exactly how it has been built and also the needs for your production. For example: when you want to output something on a plotter, there cannot be a blend in it.

    Hi @antony_6332,

Thanks for reaching out. If the image you downloaded from Adobe Stock is a vector file (such as an .ai, .eps, or .svg file), then you can edit it in Adobe Illustrator and scale it up to 6 meters x 2 meters without losing quality. However, if the downloaded image is a raster (pixel-based) file (like a .jpg or .png), then simply opening it in Illustrator won’t automatically convert it into a vector image. Enlarging a raster image to that size may cause pixelation or blurriness.

    Regards,
