Problem on Arabic text

Hi there,

I'm a kinda new bee in illustrator and want to use Arabic text. There is a guide that looks very useful, Arabic and Hebrew type in Illustrator . I tried to follow instructions and select "Edit > Preferences > Type > Show Indic Options" and choosen Middle Eastern Composer. However, neither I see text direction icons nor other stuff.

What am I missing or making wrong?

Hello Monika, thank you for reply. At first, I just bought, yesterday. So, I think it is the latest version.

After writing here I tried a few things:

In CreativeCloud > Preferences, I changed App language into English Arabic. Then, CreativeCloud asked for install and I did. However, this doesn't helped me. Everything was same.

And then, I uninstalled illustrator ant others (photoshop, ...) then installed again by ensuring the above preference, and looks like it's fixed.

Summary: If the language preference in CC is changed and applications are installed again, without uninstalling, the language problems may not be solved.

Thank you for the added information.

When you install another language without uninstalling the first one, then it depends on your system language which one is used.
