Problem saving svg

I design in Illustrator for my laser cutter.  I updated Illustrator last week and I am having problems with my files when I save as svg.    As you can see in the image the svg I saved  is not the same as the file in illustrator.  I save as svg 1.1 with unresponsiveness off.  I am not an expert with illustrator, but I have not had issues prior to the update with any of my files.   Its not only this file since the update, but all of them.  I expand,  unite and make a compound path (exact same thing I did previously when everything worked fine)  Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated before I pull all my hair out!
