problem selecting objects/images/text box

When I click and select any object/image/text box it takes a second to select and then it scrolls as if I was holding it with the click.

I run Illustrator on an iMac Ventura 13.5 and use magic keyboard and apple ouse

Any chance that you can try a different mouse? The Apple Mouse is known for causing trouble (personally I would prefer a Logi any time).

And also: maybe another reboot?
