[Problem] Strange edges while inflating objects

Hi, i have a strange problem regarding inflate function on illustrator. In the attached image you can clearly see that the edges of the two middle letters are clear but the other two letters have this strange black edges. What can cause this? I have modified those two letters with the pencil tool, the two center letters aren't modified.

I apologize for the delayed response. Regarding the strange issue with the "inflate" function in Illustrator, I found the cause of the problem after examining the provided AI file.

 

The issue was related to applying 3D and materials effects to a group of letters, which resulted in strange black edges on some of them. To resolve this, I removed the effects from the group layer and applied the 3D and material effects individually to each letter component. This corrected the problem, and the edges now appear as expected.
