Problem with clipping mask

Hi there,

I've got a problem with making a clipping mask. I have a bunch of shapes that are grouped selected and a circle with green filling selected, but when I try to make a clipping mask it only makes a clipping mask of the paths of the shape, not the filling. When I only have one of these shapes selected (and they're all copies of the same), it does work, but it doesn't now 😞

What should I do?

Arnoud,

How about selecting the shapes, Grouped or Ungrouped, then Ctrl/Cmd+8, then ShiftClick the circle, then Ctrl/Cmd+7 (Compound Path, then Clipping Mask)?

Hi Peter, still no show here, how there?

Hi, Jacob,

Reasonable showing for over a week, but wet feet today. Supposed to turn around again later.

Is it possible for you to post screenshots of what you are doing? It is not clear to me from your description.

Thanks,
Peter

I hope I am understanding what you want. You want the shape that you used to have a fill? If so, simply find the shape in the layers panel, select it and add a fill. If I am misunderstanding, please try to state the problem in another way.
