Problem with Illustrator on the 3D effect

I'll start by saying that I'm fairly new to the community and I've been using Illustrator for about three weeks. It has been working perfectly until today. I've accidentally applied a 3D effect on a logo I was working on and aside from the fact that it didn't work (a window popped up with an "unknown problem" due to "image construction"), but now that same window keeps popping up whenever I try to do anything on the file. I can't even move from layer to layer without having it pop up, saying it was unable to apply the effect and that it needs attention. The problem is: I've tried to CRTL+Z the effect and it didn't work, I can't seem to be able to toggle the 3D effect off and copy-pasting my work onto another file doesn't seem to solve the problem. Does anyone have any advice on how to solve this without having to remake the logo entirely?

Correct answer spiky

Hi Diletta_marchesi, you could try opening the appearance window, it should show the 3d effect which you can the place in the bin in that window. I hope this helps with your problem
