Hello @Claudia Liz,

Sorry to hear about this experience. As pointed out by Monika, raster images will pixelate when zooming in. However, you should be able to get a legible output. Another problem is that WhatsApp automatically compresses images out of the box and lowers the resolution, which extrapolates the problem.

You may try these two solutions that I have used and check if it helps:

  1. Change Photo upload quality under Settings -> Storage and Data to Best Quality.
This will increase the resolution of the photos sent but might not solve the problem in your case.

  2. Choose the option to attach your photo as a document. (Use the PaperClip icon to select Document instead of Gallery/Photo).
This will allow you to send the Full Resolution JPEG/PNG file, but no thumbnail will be visible in the chat.

Feel free to reach out if you need further assistance in the future. We'd be happy to help.

Thanks,

Anubhav

When you export as PNG or JPG, you convert yoiur vector artwork to raster formats. You cannot expect to be able to zoom in.

You have to export that at a resolution or in pixel dimensions that show it in the desired quality.

But then also it might happen that WhatsApp and the like scale down your images, because they cannot handle high resolution. There's nothing that Illustrator can do about that.

Set the document DPI to 72. This is a known issue.
