Quick Keys Not Working

I'm finding recently that quick keys for things like "Hide/Show Grid" are randomly not working. I have previously been in contact with Adobe about this, and we've gone in and deleted a number of things in my Library (MacOS). This has fixed the issue, but then I lose all my custom workspaces.

I'm posting today to see if other people are having the issue, and if Adobe needs to escalate this issue.

Happy New Year!

Hello @kenchikuka_,

Sorry to hear about this experience and for the delayed response. I hope the problem is resolved by now. If not, kindly try running Illustrator after rebooting your Mac in Safe Mode (https://support.apple.com/guide/mac-help/start-up-your-mac-in-safe-mode-mh21245/mac) and sharing your observations.

Looking forward to your response.

Thanks,

Anubhav

Other applications are known to interfere with modifier keys such sas Cmd, ctrl, space, etc.

What else is running opn your computer? Chrome is the posterboy for this interference.

Unfortunately, I do not believe this is the issue, unless it is at the Finder level. I have closed all other programs and kept Chrome shut, too. It's only to toggle the grid. Other quick keys appear normal.

You could try and re-assign it. Also check if it's assigned to something else in the FInder and also check the accessibility settings: keyboard access. There are threads in this forum about it. Apple has made some changes in the latest system version which collide with Illustrator.
