Radar Charts How-to

I am looking to create radar charts with three rings in it and need to assign specific colors to each ring. I cannot find how to do this anywhere. I usually create charts in Excel but cannot for Radar charts so I have never done a chart in Illustrator. Please be specific in your step-by-step response. Thank you!

Create the chart.

Then take the group selection tool, select the single rings and apply the colors.
