Re-Activation of Photoshop CS3 on an upgraded computer

I upgraded my computer and re-installed my software. I'm a dinosaur, I know because I still want to install My Adobe Suites CS3 & 4 because I own them outright and they do everything that I need them to. That being said, Illustrator posed no install problems at all yet when I went to open Photoshop CS3, an Activation code was asked for. I assumed that I needed to plug in the serial number from the back of the box. I soon realized this wasn't the case as my SN consisted of 6 blocks of 4 digits and the Activation Code being asked for needed 5 blocks of numbers.

Where is the activation code found? Is it normal to have each of the CS apps be activated separately?

stef,

I am afraid you will have to ask Adobe, through a chat (just click the Still need help button straight away) here,

Serial number and activation support (non-CC, chat open between 5AM and 7PM PST on workdays)

http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/service1.html

or maybe here,

Adobe ID and registration support (non-CC, chat open between 5AM and 7PM PST on workdays)

http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/service-c1.html

Concerning OS, depending on the upgrade version It may very well be impossible on a Mac, but you should be able to get it to work with Win, maybe with Compatibility Mode.

Is any dinosaur upgrading OS?
