recent files not recent

The "Recent files" splash screen has not updated for eight months. I already reset the prefs and restarted.

Thank you, Anshul. It's showing my actual Most Recent agian, but I'm not sure how. I have been crushed with work, so I did not keep track of eveerything, but I know I did one reset and then went through al the prefs and tried to simplify.

Hi @Carol F Metzger,

 

Sorry to hear about the trouble you are facing. Please ensure you have selected Home instead of "Your Files."

If "Home" was already selected, then please try the steps as follows:

  • Delete the CEP folder from the following location:
    MAC: /Library/Application Support/Adobe
    Windows: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe
  • If that doesn't help, delete the UXP folder to UXP.old from the following locations:
    MAC: /Library/Application Support/Adobe
    MAC: ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe
    Windows: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\
    Windows: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe

 

Note: Location starting with this "~" sign indicates the User Library on macOS, which is hidden. So, you need to copy & paste the exact path in spotlight search or from Finder Menu > Go > Go to Folder > Paste the location in the "Go To:" dialog box like this:
