Question

Recurring problem-images print smaller than the measurements shown in Illustrator

I have dealth with this problem in Illustrator, and sometimes Photoshop forever, it seems. Sporadically when there's an update to these apps, images that come out of the printer do not match the size they show on screen. And no, I don't have the "resize to fit" option checked in the print dialog. Working in an industry where correct sizes are crucial, this is beyond ridicuous, because this problem never goes away. I just had to print 2 full color graphics that go into a pair of sign holders on a retail display 3 times over, because I had to keep increasing the size incrementally until the sign fit. Even then, it wasn't 100%, because the "fix" is not proportional (length vs width) as one would assume. Adobe if you're listening get your act together on this problem and finally solve it. The only way it has gotten soved in the past is with a new update, which I am eagerly awaiting. - Carl

You're not talking to Adobe engineers here.

This is the community forum. 95% of folks here are not staff, but trying to help in their spare time.

So if you want input from us, please tell us:

Your system and version of Illustrator.

They type of printer

How far is the size off?

And screenshots of your settings in the print dialog box as well as the driver settings

Monica, I really don't need you're admonishment here. I am well aware of how the community works. Adobe does see what goes on here, so much for that.

If you want to talk to the engineers, please post at https://illustrator.uservoice.com

And in order to fix it, they will need to know printer type, settings, etc.

And BTW: my name is spelled differently.
