Remove text from path

Hi,

I inserted a text into a path; now I need to remove the text and modify the same path... Deleting the text, I have the path with a text link that I can't remove.

Anyone could help me, please?

Hi, you could copy your "type path" to a new file, save it as an older .ai version (i.e. 10). Close and re-open the file and it's a path again.

    As I said, you don't need to do that. You could just select the path with the group selection tool (make sure you click on the path), copy it and pste into the same file.

    So it's an area text or a path text? You can select the text and delete it, but you can't convert the path back to a "normal" path. All you can do is select the path with the group selection tool, copy (or cut) it and then paste it back into the file to get a "normal" path. But you can also just edit it while there is still text in or on it. You just have to select it.
