I have imaged traced a photo of my dog then made it black and white so i can use the vector as my logo, the only problem is certain areas of the dog inside are transparent so when i use the logo and put it over a coloured background areas inside the dog disapear.

I want everything outside the dog transparent everything inside black and white please

thank you for your time.

You would have to draw a white-filled shape to match the overall shape of the dog, and put it behind.

That said, so much small fine detail in a logo is ill-advised.

thanks for help, do you know why it left those bits out during the image trace as it managed the other bits ok?

You chose a type of image, then does not have a defined edge. You may be able to do some preprep work in Photohsop pulling curves to create some contrast between the dog & background, especially if you have an original full color version of the image. You may want to allow more than 2 colors when image tracing, it will for example make it a light yellow shape, you can then manually change to white.
