Question

Removing points on a path that has a blend morph effect will crash Illustrator

Device: Razer Blade 16.

System: Windows 11 Pro 23H2
App: Adobe Illustrator 28.1 or any older version available via CC

Here is What's happening, use the pen to draw two spare paths, use the blend tool to morph the two paths, and then try to use the pen/curvature tool to delete any point on any of the paths, and that will crash Illustrator.

I don't understand what is going on here, I tried to turn off GPU acceleration in Preferences, I tried to only use integrated graphics, and turned off hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling and VRR, and I tried Adobe Clean uninstall and reinstall a lower version of Illustrator. and the problem still exists.

I need some support here.

You probably have a gazillion steps in that blend?

Can you reduce the number of steps and then try again?
