Question

Removing the bounding box in pattern (Gerber AccuMark)

Hi,

I have a question about how to save a pattern without the bounding box.  Let me explain what I'm doing.  I create the pattern through Illustrator, save it to my desktop, convert the saved pattern to a .dxf, import the .dxf file to my Gerber AccuMark system, open the file and save in AccuMark to use for a pattern marker.  When I open the pattern up in AccuMark, it opens with a bounding box.  How can I remove the bounding box from the pattern before saving the pattern as a .dxf or what do I need to do the solve this problem.  When I open the pattern up in AccuMark (with the bounding box) it has the bounding box as the perimeter line which makes it very hard to remove this bounding box.

Thanks,

Lynn

Does the problem exist in Illustrator or only in AccuMark?

If it is not in Illustrator, you might try customer service at AccuMark.

Well, sounds like you simply use clipping masks, which of course are paths, even if they are non-rendering/ invisible. If that is any issue, then you will have to genuinely slice up things with knife, scissor and pathfinders and do all the necessary cleanup.
