Resize object and font proportionally without distorting the font

Does anyone know how to resize an object and a font at the same time in Illustrator without distorting the font?

 

I have a bargraphic which I want to reduce in width. The graphic has the percentages at the bottom and I don't want those to be distorted/cropped.
