Retyping in a text box changes font

I recently updated AI to latest version and since then whenever I want to change the text in an existing text frame, it will automatically change the font to Myriad Pro, no matter what was the font there before. It also happens if I paste copied text in ther.

This is really annoying and counter-productive.

    Thank you for your answer.

    I turned off Enable Missing Glyph Protection and it seems that it solved the problem.

    Also, try turning off Enable Missing Glyph Protection under Illustrator's Type preferences and share your observations.
