When you revert, you immediately close the current document (after carefully reading the warning and clicking OK) and open the last saved version of it. That cannot be undone.
In case you just pressed the wrong keys: open Edit > Keyboard shortcuts and delete the shortcut.
I may be mistaken, but I believe that auto save of recovery data is only useful in the event of a crash, that there is no data to be recovered in the event of a Revert command, which is a voluntary (even if accidental) removal of data, and non-reversible.
