Hello Community,

Can someone help me? I have art thats gradient full color. I want to save it as cmyk, vector and 300DPI but small file size to send to a priniting company. When I try it says file exceeds 25mb

Thank you

If you are saving your PDF with "Preserve Illustrator Editing Capabilities", you are essentially packaging your Illustrator working file(s) along with the PDF whuch can make the file huge. Your printer does not need this (unless they have specifically asked for it), so make sure whatever PDF Exports settings you are using that that checkbox is unchecked.

Also: If you are sending to a printer, you DO NOT WANT to save your file "small".

Without seeing what you have created, for what it's worth, 25mb is not necessarily a large file for a professional printing company.

ANd you save it in which file format? PDF?

Are there pixel images in the file? Or raster effects?

Are the gradients freeform gradients?

I dont know what you mean bye pixel images. Freeform a mix of colors into smoke. I save it in PDF

Pixel images are placed photos or illustrator or whatever.

I don't understand what you mean with the other stuff. So there are freeform gradients?

WHich options for the PDF? Is it transparency flattened? How large is it?

And what Brad said. What are the company's limitations for file size? Don't they have an upload option?
