Save Artboards into a Library and drag out?

Hi there, title says it all.

You can save artboards as separate files and drag those into a Library, but you can’t drag from a Library to create a new artboard (at least not for me) - probably because it’s stored as a file, and not an artboard?

I’ve got lots of web and social ad sizes I need quick access to, which seems like a use-case for Libraries.

Anyone know how to get drag and drop fiunctionality between Libraries and Artboards?

Cheers, Ben

If all you need is the size, then Alt drag a white box from the library and Object > Artboards > Convert to Arboards will do.

You can try to double click the library item. It will open as a document and you can drag the artboard with the Artboard tool to another document.

Thanks for that. I've just given up on Artboards and gone with a white box to the size needed. I in this context, I'm using Illustrator for Design iteration, and Artboards come with workflow compromises if you don't need to print anything.
