"save as" behaves as "save as copy"

Title says it all and it comes and goes. So far I've only seen it when using PDF, which I normally work in.

Please tell us your version and system and step by step what is happening.

Also: Exactly where are you saving files?

version 25.0.1, MacOS Catalina 10.15.7

I'm working in a pdf, click save as, in the dialog I type a new filename, and then click save, then save as in the next dialog. Then, instead of opening the new file I'm still in the old one.

Files are being saved on Google Drive File Stream

Does that also happen when you

- don't save on Google Drive

- start with an AI file (not a PDF)
