"save as PDF"exports only warning file.

My saved PDFs are not displaying and instead showcasing this...

Adobe Illustrator with the "Create PDF

Compatible File" option turned on. This

option is in the Illustrator Native Format

Options dialog box, which appears when

saving an Adobe Illustrator le using the

Save As command.

I have searched all over. This topic comes up from time to time on these forums and on the web. I've read all the answers, I've tried all the solutions. The option is, and always has been, checked. I have tried copying and pasting into a new document. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Illustrator. On my laptop, I am having zero issues. PDFs saves out fine. On my brand new Imac... not so much. I have been having this issue with every file I open and/or create. Files that never had this issue are also saving out to only showcase the text above.

This latest version seems to be the hang-up. Does anyone else know a solution not already mentioned above that I have already tried? I can save out EPSs and use distiller, but there has to be a fix. I cant be the only one.

    What are the complete pdf options when you save pdfs?

    Can ai-files saved with »Create PDF Compatible File« checked be opened in Acrobat?

    My saved PDFs are not displaying and instead showcasing this...

    Display where exactly – when placed in Indesign, Illustrator, opened in Acrobat, …?

    Thank you so much again for the responses and trying to help. It is really appreciated. I am saving AI files to PDF and trying to View in Acrobat DC. My clients are running into this same issue.

    - I have a 27" Imac received Monday running macOS High Sierra version 10.13.4

    - I didn't say "latest" to be cheeky, I literally downloaded Illustrator on this mac 2 days ago. So I am running 22.1 which is in fact the latest version. My laptop is running 22.0.0 at the moment. Again no issues with the laptop.

    Sorry for not being more specific. I seriously thought I was just having a brain fart, not running into a technical issue. I will be more precise with all responses going forward.

    Which system?

    Where do you save your files?

    Which system on your laptop?

    Thanks for getting back to me. The latest version of CC, both systems are macs. Files are always saved to my local hard drive. I work from home so servers are not involved.
