Save issues after using Find and Replace

Latest version of Illustrator....

 

I open a document and use Find and Replace, and the strings are replaced. The Save option under the File menu is grayed out, indicating that Illustrator does not recognize the edit as something savable. I close the document and no changes are saved.

 

I then open the document and MANUALLY make the changes, not using Find and Replace, and the Save option is now dark, indicating that Illustrator recognizes that the document was changed.

 

So something is wrong with Find and Replace with regard to Illustrator recognizing the changes it makes as savable changes to the document.

If it does, it would be immensely helpful if you could provide a screen recording demonstrating the issue along with the affected file. OK I narrowed it down. I created a new file with two separate text blocks. If I choose Find and Replace with the mouse from the Edit menu and change characters, the file is seen as edited and therefore needs to be saved. If I choose Find and Replace through an Action I have specifically created to avoid mousing to the Edit menu, the changes are not seen as edited.

So try creating a Find and Change Action and see if it fails that way on your end. BTW, I am using the Arabic version of Illustrator, latest version.

I tested the Find and Replace Feature on Adobe Illustrator ME v. 28.5

The content in my document is Arabic, I was able to save after replacing text.
