Saved files as .ai when I try to reopen says they don't exist

I am saving files as .ai format and then when I try to reopen them it says they do not exist. Can anyone please provide guidance on this?

    Hi there,

     

    Apologies for the delayed response. Does it happen with a specific file? Is the file saved on a network location?

    If yes, then please try copying it on a local drive & then try to open it. Let us know if it helps.
