Hello,

I am making my eBook in indesign, and  I will export it as ePub file. So, I did my illustrations in Ai, and

I would like to save my Illustrations in Ai and then place them to Indesign. What type of file should I save them , is it pdf, png or jepeg ? ..

thanks

I would just place the Illustrator files in InDesign and let InDesign handle the conversion.

See conversion settings here:

ePUB supports PNG, JPEG, GIF and SVG but it might depend on the platform whether some are accepted. I would first check the specifications of the platform you are uploading this to.

JPEG might look terrible with typical vetor artwork. PNG might be better in that regard.

I would check here: https://support.google.com/books/partner/answer/3316879?hl=en

PNG and JPEG are raster-based, in a PDF there can be vector artwork. So naturally it will be sharper. You could check whether SVG is allowed. And then also you need to figure out if your artwork is suited for it or if it contains a lot of effects that might be converted to pixels anyway.
