Saving image in a specific size

Hello, new here!

I've been learning how to use Illustrator lately because I needed it for a little project of mine. Here's the problem:

- I've made a design I need to print in quantity, therefore I need to be sure it's printed in the perfect size.

- I want to test it first but I can't seem to find a way to save my image in a specific size.

- Now, the biggest issue: On the design I have a shape (Moon shape), so this moon shape needs to be the exact size of a moon-shaped accessory I have to stick onto it; so when you remove the moon-shaped accessory... you'll still see the moon design in the background. I have absolutely no idea how I'm going to work around this.

Is there a way I can make the illustrator image fixed on a specific size (in cm or mm for example) so that I can 1. Print it as I want it and 2. make the moon-shape exactly the size of the accessory.

Did you set up the file using a Print profile (selected from the Print section of the new files dialog box?

In that case it should be set up with mm or Inches in the rulers.

If you didn't then you might have an additional issue with color spaces.

To change the ruler:

1. View > Show rulers

2. Right click into the ruler and select mm or whatever unit you need (don't select pixels)

3. Select the artboard tool in the toolbox and then adjust your artboard size

4. select other elements that need to be a speicifc size and adust them by e.g. using Window > Transform

To check the color space: Is there a mention of RGB in the document title?

If so: File >  Document color space > CMYK

Then check all color definitions in the color panel.

The work you want to do is easy, simple work.

However, since you are a new user in Illustrator, it is natural that you experience these problems.

You can change the unit of measure by right-clicking on the ruler section of Illustrator. This does not affect the size of your work.

As soon as you choose your work, the top section will read the measurements, especially in the bar.

When dimensioning by entering a dimension, make sure that the CHAIN ​​icon is active between the width and high portions.

One of the best options for exporting is to save a PDF. Opens everywhere.
