Scale size of a single letter to scale the rest proportionally

I am trying to change the letter height of text that has been converted to outlines but I want to only change the height of the first letter, so that it sets the standard letter height for everything else. Is there a way to do this and have the rest of the letters in the word scale proportionally with it?

Cameron,

As I (mis)understand it, you may wish to change the height of one (outlined) letter to a specific value and have all the other letters scale by the same proportion:

If that be the case, you may:

1) Select the one letter and note the H value in the Transform palette,

2) Select all the letters and Object>Transform>Scale and insert the following % value for Uniform scaling: 100 times the desired height (you can just add two zeroes to the value, or move the decimal points two places to the right) divided by the H value from 1.
